In the novel of roll of thunder hear my cry, discrimination is shown in a few ways that I will explain in the paragraphs.

In the class the books were old and falling apart and the message in said ” new, very good, good, average  and poor are the books for white people and very poor is for niggers/nigga. This shows discrimination  because it means black people don’t deserve new and fresh things.

Another example of discrimination is when the Jefferson bus (which is all for white people) kept on splashing dirty water upon Christopher-john, Cassie and little man. In the it says ” They did it again big ma, just look at my clothes.”
